Making a load of noise and shouting alerts other people that somethings up. It seemed they just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.
If they think they are about to be attacked they are far more likely to try and defend themselves. Someone's going to get hurt, and there's a 50/50 chance it's going to be you.
My method worked twice for me. That's enough proof for me that it works and no one gets hurt.
I was only discussing this Fox guy last night with someone.
He HAS to be cheating. No doubt about it. He drives horrible lines yet still goes faster than every nKPro alien I know. It's not like it's a little bit faster either, it's a lot faster.
I don't think that it's them not wanting to hear the truth as such, it's probably due to the fact that they have no personal experience of the subject, so all they have to draw on is the bullshit they have been taught in school, church, ill educated (on this subject) parents and from their governments.
They are perfectly entitled to their opinions, but to those of use who have a lot more life experience, and in this case experience of using drugs, their opinions really don't count for much I'm afraid.
That's like asking why people want to have sex (for recreation as opposed to procreation)
Humans always have and always will seek pleasure. Having an orgasm induces a chemical reaction in the brain. Humans like inducing chemical reactions in their brains.
You can substitute sex in my argument for bungee jumping, skdiving or a thousand other things that make our brain chemistry change, including drugs.
It is by all accounts a simple case of human nature.
Alcohol is right at the top of the list of dangerous drugs, along with heroin (which is actually not that dangerous in itself) and tobacco.
For you to say the people who use the "other" drugs are immature, not fit to have kids or have a job, but then not include all the people that drink in that is completely hypocritical.
Nothing personal, but your showing an obvious lack of understanding about the subject that's being discussed here.
Why don't you just be yourself online as well then?
You've proven yourself to be pretty mature and down to earth in this thread, with some very sensible views on the subject of drugs. Why you feel the need to act like a complete cock in some of the other threads I have no idea, if that's not what you're like in reality
Suffice it to say, that is some of the most naive nonsense i've read on the subject so far. It's quite absurd really.
If we took that attitude with our legal (and more harmful to both the individual and society) drugs (yup, alcohol ) then 90% of the population would be unemployed and childless.
Of all the people I've known well over the years that take drugs (and there are loads of them) I can count on one hand the number of them that use them as an "escape"
The overwhelming majority of them had a perfectly normal upbringing and take/took drugs to have a fun time. Nothing more, nothing less. They also live a perfectly "normal" life, holding down jobs and raising their kids in a perfectly responsible manner.
Not for the first time S14 is talking out of his backside and is doing it in a completely condescending manner.
Seriously...how the hell you can drive like that I just don't know. I just tried it with the FFB at 30 in sim and it feels bloody awful. There's a complete lack of any meaningful information in the FFB when its that high. You must drive by visual and sound cues only as you certainly dont get any help from the wheel like that.
Every car except the Lotus I run at 900 in game/in windows which lets iRacing sort it out (I don't care about a "hard stop" if you've hit the hard stop you've crashed )
FFB in the Radical around 8, though I'm using a DFGT.. The G25/27 FFB seems a bit weak in comparison so your setting of 12 might be fine if that's the wheel you have (you can feel the tyres and more subtle forces a lot better with lower FFB settings, go to high and it all gets clipped out)
StableX is obviously more interested in having a workout than feeling what his car is doing
The Radical is fine at Sebring. The only slightly nervous moments are T1 and the exit of the final turn and a half decent setup will make those two turns far less of a brown trouser moment.
(The Corvette is pretty awesome round there as well )
Yup, the system as it is doesn't really encourage racing at all. I will only do 2 races in a series per week maximum as I can nearly always score good points in one of them, after that your score is just going to go down most likely.
The series are a complete lottery anyway. If you don't get in the highest SOF of the week you're at a huge disadvantage.
The only series in the sim that's entirely down to who is the fastest/best driver is the DWC as they only have 1 race per round like a proper league.
